The interior of 2014 McLaren P1 is actually designed to offer the driver the very best experience behind the wheel. The cockpit has been apparently inspired by a fighter jet and it has been combined with glass canopy overhead and a windscreen deeper than it is wide. As a result, the driver will get the better visibility while driving this supercar. There will be also a lot of carbon fiber on the floor, dashboard, doors, rockers and headlining.

On the outside, the 2014 McLaren P1 has a carbon fiber Monocell that is similar with the McLaren MP4-12C. Furthermore, there will be a number of components found on the other McLaren supercars such as hydraulic anti-roll control, adaptive dampers, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, active aerodynamics, a re-tuned pushrod suspension and traction control and front and rear spoilers. On the back side, you will see the big rear wing that can adjust automatically to improve the aerodynamics. It can extend rearwards by up to 300mm on a racetrack, and by up to 120mm on the road. Also, the aerodynamic of this car is also enhanced by the two flaps installed under the body ahead of the front wheels. This feature may increase the speed and the confidence of the driver as well.

The 2014 McLaren P1 has been equipped with the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a highly efficient low-weight electric motor. The engine can produce a total of 727 hp at 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 531 pound-feet delivered from 4000 rpm (faster than 2013 Audi TT-RS and 2014 Porsche Cayenne). The electric motor can provide the additional 176 hp and a peak torque of 191 pound-feet. Thanks to this powerful engine, this supercar can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 3 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in under 7 seconds and from 0 to 300 km/h (186 mph) in just 17 seconds. The driver will get the top speed that will be electronically limited to 217 mph.
